Katy Independent School District Continues To Partner With USA Shade

For over a decade, the Katy Independent School District has relied on USA SHADE as their preferred shade structure provider, purchasing multiple shade structure designs for schools in the district.

In 2015, they challenged us to provide shade for several of their large playgrounds and on a tight budget, and to meet the region’s 120mph (190 kph) wind load requirement. Our solution was to provide a Super Span customized with a Multi-Panel element.

Earlier in 2016, the district again asked us to design another oversized structure, this time to cover a basketball court. Once again, our design and engineering team rose to the challenge, designing a 6-post Super Span with Multi-Panel roof system.

Our long-standing partnership and consistency in providing shade solutions that meet their requirements, provides Katy ISD with the confidence that their students are well-protected from the sun’s harmful UV rays.
